It might sound unusual for a freelancer to say, but I was lucky enough to be invited to do some pro-bono facilitation this week. Like all voluntary work, pro-bono might be unpaid, but it’s not for nothing! I got lots of ideas, learning and inspiration from facilitating a lively meeting of Work4ME. This small but emerging co-operative champions the cause for self-employment for people with long-term conditions. Work4ME members are professional people from diverse industries who have come together to find a solution to their work/life balance. The event was a strategic review and planning session designed to embed the learning from an evaluation they had undertaken. And although we didn’t quite find all the answers for how to do strategic planning in under 2 hours, we identified some of the right questions to help take the organisation to the next level. See the testimonial page for feedback on how the session went.
