We are delighted to announce a special workshop for funders on the theme of – you guessed it – sustainability!
It takes place on Wednesday 23th August at the offices of the Big Lottery Fund in Glasgow. If you’re interested, book NOW as places are already going fast (the first booking came in just 15 minutes after the date was announced!). Contact jennifer@wrenandgreyhound.co.uk to book.
After presenting to the Funders Forum in 2015, we launched ‘A Lasting Difference’, our unique resource on sustainable organisations – and impact – in February 2016. The response was overwhelming. Over 2500 copies are now in use. People are no longer talking about sustainability, they are doing something about it. But clarity and leadership are still needed, giving funders an important role to play.
This short workshop is designed to:
• Reintroduce funders to the ‘Lasting Difference’ resource, with examples of how it is being used across the third sector, by funders and others.
• Provide an overview of our recent research and what it tells us about how organisations are addressing sustainability.
• Equip funders with ideas and resources to take action on sustainability (including their own).
• Initiate a national conversation about sustainability; What are the principles and practices that underpin it? Why should funders invest in it? What do sustainable funding and impact even look like?
The workshop is aimed at senior managers and those in policy or development roles in funding bodies. Anyone who wants better answers to the age-old question ‘How will you sustain this work once the funding stops?’ will benefit.
‘Brilliant! This workshop was so valuable, informative and inclusive.’
‘Fantastic workshop and toolkit. Really exciting stuff.’
‘Great content, very useful and immediately actionable with my team. Wonderful energy and excellent presentation skills.’
