We’ve just been joined by two new Associate Consultants, Debbie Bayne and Jenny Reekie. In fact, things move so fast around here that both of them had already completed lots of work before I got round to posting the news!
Debbie has been a consultant for nearly 20 years and an employee across a wide range of organisations from multinationals to small arts charities. Most recently she managed the SDS development programme for Lothian Centre for Inclusive Living, a user-led disabled people’s organisation.
She’s been involved in Wren and Greyhound programmes and events, both as a participant and a partner for several years, so she really gets our values and the way we work. She’s passionate about helping people and teams to fulfil their potential and brings particular skills around engaging and involving people in making decisions about the things that matter to them. Debbie joined the team in September and immediately made an impression with her exceptional facilitation skills – so far all of her clients have gone out of their way to provide appreciative feedback – always glowing!
Our fifth team member is Jenny Reekie. She was also our second, being a company director from the start (the Wren in ‘Wren and Greyhound’). She has contributed valued leadership and facilitation skills to each of our special biennial leadership retreats since 2015. With 15 years post-qualification experience of community-based learning, she left her role as Adult Learning Manager for West Lothian Council in 2018 to set up a new enterprise providing learning opportunities and resources for individuals and organisations. We’re delighted to say this will include two special e-learning courses for Wren and Greyhound – watch this space! At the time of writing, Jenny has just finished leading our review of a high-profile national partnership programme, using her creative resources and engagement skills to involve young people, practitioners and policy makers in shaping the future of a valued service.
