People often remark on how safe they feel and how easy it is to share ideas at events we run. That’s what good facilitation is all about.
There are times when it is useful to have an independent professional to help you have conversations and
- Explore issues in new ways
- Develop ideas creatively
- Find a way forward.
It might be that you want specialist ideas and input, or simply help to ‘make it happen’. Either way, we love helping people and organisations to develop through:
- Staff, board and volunteer away days
- Creative meetings and group sessions
- Strategic/outcome-based planning days
- Conference inputs, workshops or facilitation
- Bespoke training events
Examples
Scottish Government Carer Policy Unit: Conference planning and facilitation (2016 Carers Parliament; Carers Act implementation event)
Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland: Conference planning and facilitation to celebrate the anniversary of Road to Recovery, the national strategy for recovery from addictions
Voluntary Action Fund, Creative Scotland, Short Breaks Fund and others: evidence sharing workshops for funders, helping funded groups to generate, assess and present evidence in preparation for writing project reports.
Coalition of Care Providers Scotland, the School for Social Entrepreneurs and others: Action Learning Set facilitation for sector leaders. We also helped equip the SSE with a sustainable model of action learning, by training programme graduates to facilitate peer learning sets, eliminating the need for external facilitation.
Borders Independent Advocacy Service, Coalition of Carers in Scotland and others: Delivery of uniquely creative events, helping stakeholders to spark ideas – and build relationships:
‘The interactive session was particularly imaginative – a great way to get the experience and views of many in an efficient and effective way’
‘The interactive part was brilliant. Really creative way of doing it.’
