Bespoke training

‘Off the shelf’ courses are tried and tested, but often tailor-made gives you a better fit. It might cost less than you think, especially for the benefits it brings:
  • You have a direct influence over what is delivered, and how. This means;
  • You can ensure your desired learning outcomes are achieved.
  • Subjects can be tailored to become specifically relevant to your staff or situation.
  • External best practice can be linked to your existing work, making it easier for staff to adopt or understand.

What you can expect

From your initial enquiry through to post-course evaluation, we will work with you to make sure the training delivers the results you want.

Planning the event:

You can expect time to be spent on this. Initial contact is usually over the phone or by email, but we like to meet face to face when things need to be discussed in more depth. Where relevant, it can also be helpful to use this opportunity to find out more about the work environment. We will be honest about our capabilities and let you know if we can’t deliver what you are looking for. We want you to feel confident that you have come to the right place so we are happy to provide CVs, examples of our work and so on. Once we have a clear brief from you we will present a written proposal for your consideration, including rationale and pricing. Once these are acceptable to you we begin planning your event in depth. We do not charge for any of these services but may ask you to confirm acceptance of our proposal before proceeding.

Delivering the event:

All equipment and resources are provided. We prepare a full course pack for all participants, including handouts, worksheets etc. (We are happy to show you examples of previous resources, please ask). Events will be held at a time and venue agreeable to you and will be run by a qualified, experienced trainer.

After the event:

We will provide a written evaluation of your event, usually within one week, depending on the size of the piece of work. Again we like to be honest and full participant feedback will be shared with you. Evaluation helps us both know the extent to which we have been successful in meeting your brief and achieving your desired outcomes. In some cases, for example when you are hoping to influence skills and behaviour, it can be useful to review the event after another 3-12 months. We will recommend this where we feel it will be of value to you. We do not usually charge for this as we see it as part of the job.
